How to automate recurring pest control appointments
Short answer: turn each customer's plan into a service plan with a frequency, let the software create the visits for the term, send reminders automatically, and charge the card on file when the visit is completed.

Start with the service plan, not the calendar
Most offices book the next quarterly visit by hand after each service. That works at 100 customers and breaks at 500. Instead, record the plan once: frequency (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly), preferred day or zone, price and billing cadence. The software then creates every visit for the agreement term.
Keep service frequency and billing frequency separate. Many companies service quarterly but bill monthly to smooth cash flow.
Automate the steps around the visit
Each of these is a step someone in the office used to do by hand.
- Reminder texts or emails a day or two before the visit.
- An on-my-way text when the technician starts driving.
- A service report with products applied, sent after completion.
- An automatic card charge with a receipt, for customers on autopay.
- A review request after a completed visit.
Handle exceptions without breaking the schedule
Rain, holidays and sick days will move visits. Use bulk actions to shift a whole day forward rather than rebooking stops one at a time, and keep the plan's next date tied to the original cadence so visits don't drift later each quarter.
